For this season, sleeves, cuffs, necklines and hems are key to update styling with a classical touch. Ornate stitches encapsulate the classical and noble design. Contrast stitches, bold patterns and refreshing colors convey a simple and quiet feel.
Minimal contrast stitches enliven solid knitwear. Fendi’s new base layer feels dressy and convey a space feel via neat silhouettes and parallel lines. PSALTER chooses rhinestones and lace at the shoulder line, armhole and seam.
Solid-color knitwear this season shows a sense of craftsmanship. The pointelle texture, adopted by Reiss and Club Monaco, adds a cool quality. The complex and floral textures, as at Other&Stories and Sandro, are appealing.
Big brands such as Alexander McQueen and Fendi all place emphasis on sleeves to elevate items. Orderly arranged buttons, ropes and layered sequins add depth.
The cuff is underlined for this season. Lace is applied to the solid base-layer of Philosophy Di Lorenzo Serafini. The simple black strap and pearls add a delicate, nonchalant and luxurious feel updating styling.
Similar colors are used for simple styling. Henrik Vibskov and LOEWE combine the ottoman texture and geometric color blocks to create a flowing effect.
Contrast colors at the neck and hem enrich the palette of the base layer. Maison Margiela offers a layering effect which is combined with the ottoman texture.
